LOS ANGELES CA, May 2, 2007—'There's a little pig in all of us' proclaim the liner notes of this scrumptious neo-new wave collection...'Heartbreak Street,' 'Stand Back,' and 'Saturday Night' are infectious time capsules laden with anthemic hooks and a back-beat that rockers can dance to and dancers can rock to: which is what made the '80s so unique in the first place...The Pigs have a greatest hits album on their hooves.

FANS NOT INTERESTED IN WORLD PEACE...
WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?!

LOS ANGELES CA, December 29, 2006—Our Xmas initiative to help come up with ideas for World Peace, has fallen on relatively deaf ears. The Pigs received little comment from their fans even though they were bribing them with contest goodies! We've heard that opinions are like ***holes. Everyone has one. But in this case we found very few ***holes with an opinion. We'll try again next year - if we don't have World Peace by then.

VIDIOTS RELEASE MOVED TO SPRING 2007

LOS ANGELES CA, December 22, 2006—With all our Xmas efforts this year and the attending hoopla, it looks like we're going to have to push back our Vidiots release until the Spring. They've finished 6 songs and the album is sounding great! They'll be back in the studio right after the holiday break to finish up.

A "SILENT NIGHT" MESSAGE!
DIGITAL ACTIVITY CONTRIBUTES TO THE PIGS PEACE EFFORT

LOS ANGELES CA, December 15, 2006—Digital Activity has jumped on-board with The Pigs in their efforts to promote World Peace through The Pigs' PeaceForXmas website. After previewing The Pigs' "I've Got Santa Claus" video, they stole the 5 second "multi-lingual blitz section" (check out The Pigs vid and you'll see what it is) and turned it into a five minute epic. They used their funky version of "Silent Night" from their CD Xmas Vol. 1 as a background. Check it out on YouTube or the Digital Activity website. Happy Holidays, and we wish you Peace on Earth.

BE INVOLVED - BE TOLERANT - BE SMART!

PIGS VIDEO AVAIL AT YOUTUBE

LOS ANGELES CA, December 5, 2006—Video artist, Ernie Campagna, has teamed with GW and they've delivered the goods with the "I've Got Santa Claus" video which will be posted on YouTube beginning December 8. PIGS WANT PEACE FOR XMAS!

LOS ANGELES CA, November 28, 2006—As a further incentive to Peace On Earth, THE PIGS, are offering their tongue-in-cheek track, "I've Got Santa Claus," as a holiday download on their www.PeaceForXmas.com site. The track, which tells the tale of Santa hiding out until there's Peace on Earth, is available as a free download, or, for .99 cents as a donation toward world peace, with all net proceeds going to UnitedForPeace.org.

Head PIG and Disturbing Music label president Geoff Westen explains, "I can't stand to watch the news anymore. Or listen to our leaders tap dancing around the truth. It's time to stop mucking about and take a realistic look at the barriers preventing Peace on Earth and what steps need be taken to get around them.

"I want to create a forum at PeaceForXmas where concerned people can contribute their ideas of how to accomplish World Peace. I'm convinced that the best ideas for moving the peace effort forward will come from ordinary people with no political agenda—only a desire to live in harmony with their fellow human beings."

PIGS GET VIDEO ARTIST INVOLVED
WITH "I'VE GOT SANTA CLAUS"

LOS ANGELES CA, November 16, 2006—Video artist ERNIE CAMPAGNA talked with The Pigs recently and when told about their PeaceForXmas vision - offered to work up a video against the song attached to their peace effort - "I've Got Santa Claus!". The song is about Santa's frustration with the people of our planet having such a hard time bringing his life long message to fruition - PEACE ON EARTH! Santa basically tells us that until there is Peace on Earth, there will be no Santa. Watch for the video to be on YouTube sometime before Xmas.

THE PIGS CONTINUE TO GET RAVE REVIEWS

LOS ANGELES CA, October 6, 2006—OINK! has been available for a while now and continues to get terrific reviews. We have to pinch ourselves each time we get a new one as it is most unusual to get so many good reviews without a bad one in the batch. The Piggies are thrilled about this as you can imagine and send out thanks to those reviewers who have checked out the CD and written it up. Unfortunately, good reviews haven't necessarily gotten the sales numbers going yet - but we keep moving forward!

VIDIOTS RELEASE SET BACK AGAIN

LOS ANGELES CA, September 2, 2006—Geoff Westen's release of his VIDIOTS CD "Tune In!!" has been pushed back again. There is lots going on at Disturbing for the holiday season and this has kept VIDIOTS out of the studio for a while. He'll get back to it in January and expects to complete the CD for a late Spring release. Be patient Vidiotites!

DISTURBING ALERTS GET MENTIONS

LOS ANGELES CA, August 19, 2006—If you are on the Disturbing mailing list then you have seen the alerts that show up every month or so. We hope that all of you out there will opt-in to the list and check out the upcoming Alerts. Thanks!

DIGITAL ACTIVITY CONSIDERING A VOX CD

LOS ANGELES CA, July 12, 2006—After much soul searching - DIGITAL ACTIVITY is seriously considering a vocal or two on their next release. For right now they're kind of leaning towards 2 title options: "Human Element" or "Aural Sex". Which one do you like the best? Got an idea of your own to add to the mix? Click HERE.

VIDIOTS IN THE STUDIO
TUNE IN!! SCHEDULED FOR WINTER '07

LOS ANGELES CA, May 30, 2006—The next Disturbing Music release, TUNE IN!! by VIDIOTS is tentatively scheduled for a February 2007 release. VIDIOTS have now finished tracking and are on a short break before putting overdubs and finishing touches on the songs.

Originally scheduled for Fall, 2006, VIDIOTS got a late start while waiting for some reference tapes to be baked. The Warner Bros. Film Sound Department was kind enough to help out as baking old tapes is a big part of what they do nowadays. In fact they were so busy, they couldn't get to Vidiots for about 2 months. The boys are back on track and hope to make their first song available for download by the Holidays.

THE PIGS GET RAVE REVIEWS OUT OF THE BOX!
OINK! HAILED BY OZ BEAT MUSIC

LOS ANGELES CA, February 10, 2006—Within two days of hitting the street, OINK! received its first review from Dem Hopkins at Oz Beat. Oz Beat is an international collective of reps from twenty two countries who are committed to promoting quality music. Oz Beat gave OINK! its highest rating—MUSIC THAT MATTERS! and enthuses, "The Pigs completely nail all that was good about music past; then they deliver it in a way that is destined to make 'Oink!' one of the most innovative and sensational releases of 2006." For more of this review and many others, click HERE.

THE PIGS' POWER POP/ROCK COLLECTION, OINK!
AVAILABLE JANUARY 31 ON DISTURBING MUSIC

LOS ANGELES CA, January 6, 2006OINK! THE PIGS' first Power Pop/Rock CD on Disturbing Music, is scheduled for national release on January 31, 2006 and is also available at all major online outlets and the Disturbing Music website, www.disturbingmusic.com.

OINK! is hooky power pop which runs the gamut of pop music styles. The common denominator on all the tracks is PIGS' leader Geoff Westen's quirky and eclectic mix of what pop music is all about.

Songs like "Oh Girl" and "Heartbreak Street" sound like pop song standards. "Paradise" and "Saturday Night" rock out with enough guitars and energy to fill an arena stage and "Sweetheart" is a classic rock ballad. Other little gems are pure Westen, highly stylized punkish Pop tracks "I'm Sick," "Stand Back," and "Beat Me Up."

Westen's layering approach to building music is a key element to THE PIGS "Wall of Pop" sound. Layers reveal themselves upon repeated listening exposing more of the colors, textures and flavors.

Comments Westen, "Some of my favorite music was discovered just this way, with repeated plays unveiling sounds and feelings I hadn't heard before. We hope you enjoy all the sounds that THE PIGS make on this CD. The lyrics are about us—what we do and why we do it."

THE PIGS' OINK! is the second Geoff Westen project on Disturbing Music; his Digital Activity CDs, Birth and Xmas Vol. 1 are also currently available. Vidiots is scheduled for release in Fall, 2006.

DISTURBING MUSIC GEARS UP FOR THE HOLIDAYS

LOS ANGELES CA, November 29, 2005—Now that Thanksgiving is officially done this year, and while we await the arrival of THE PIGS new CD, the gang at Disturbing is getting ready for their favorite time of year. The decorations are up, the lights are lit, the cookies are baking, the cards are going out, and the music of XMAS VOL. 1 fills the air. Get in the spirit for a joyful Holiday season. See you in 2006.

DON'T FORGET XMAS VOL. 1 FOR XMAS 2005

LOS ANGELES CA, October 2, 2005DIGITAL ACTIVITY'S Xmas CD, XMAS VOL. 1 will be reissued worldwide this holiday season.

GW brings his contemporary digital touch to songs he grew up with and turns them into extended musical journeys. XMAS VOL. 1 celebrates the holidays with layers of pure digital rock orchestration.

XMAS VOL. 1 can be played as a background to create the perfect holiday atmosphere—for wrapping a few gifts or baking a batch of cookies. But if you are in the mood for some volume—by all means crank it up!

This is the CD to play anytime you want to get in the Holiday mood. Listen to the first few bars of Jingle Bells or I'll Be Home For Xmas and you'll go this special Christmas place and feel good all over. Guaranteed!

OINK! RELEASE DATE PUSHED BACK TO 2006

LOS ANGELES CA, October 2, 2005THE PIGS have completed recording OINK! their first release on Disturbing Music. Next up is Mastering and CD Pkg design. Oh yeah, and hosing out The Pig Pen.

"It kind of pisses me off that they pigged out so much on studio time. Now we're a couple of weeks behind and I see no way to make up the time to get it out for the holidays," said Disturbing GM, Helena. "So we're going to try and get some CDs to a few online outlets in time for Christmas and we'll push the official release date to January 24, 2006."

SLOP! CHANGES TO OINK!

LOS ANGELES CA, July 10, 2005—As THE PIGS project evolves, so does everything else connected to it. According to GW, the Big Pig, "When I started, 'PIGS' was a blurry vision off in the future. As I've worked on the project, the vision has become clearer and clearer. Today is the day we all decided THE PIGS are way more about OINK! than Slop and we're changing the name. From this moment on, OINK! is the sound THE PIGS make. Spread the word."

PIGS TAKE OVER SOUNDLAB

LOS ANGELES CA, June 17, 2005—THE PIGS have been running rampant, and have turned SOUNDLAB into a sty.

Formerly the recording home to Digital Activity, SOUNDLAB was an orderly haven of electronic instruments, wired together ad infinitum. Once THE PIGS took over, however, it has taken on the look (and smell?) of what is now affectionately called the Pig Pen.

We trust that when their current project is done, SOUNDLAB can be returned to its pristine condition.

DISTURBING ADDS OPT-OUT

LOS ANGELES CA, May 2, 2005—Truth be told, we have had problems with our ISP and Hosting folks because of our bi-weekly email alerts going to those on our mailing list. We have attracted their attention because of the rapid growth of our list and they disconnected us because they figured we must be spamming.

Being "turned off" for periods while we sorted things out with our accusers, turned out to be quite an inconvenience. So we learned our lesson and decided to job-out the mailing of our announcements to the professionals. Since doing this, we have eliminated our problems and have added the option to "opt-out".

"Although we DO want to impose ourselves, and we DO hope our alerts are entertaining with well-designed graphics, we understand there are bound to be some out there that do not want to be visually stimulated." — GW

SOME PEOPLE WILL COLLECT ANYTHING!

LOS ANGELES CA, April 10, 2005—It's been relatively quiet around Disturbing Music headquarters recently as Geoff is in the studio working on the PIGS upcoming release. So we'd like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to Oz Studios, the graphic design team of our little enterprise.

If you're on our mailing list, you've seen for yourself the imaginative and edgy artwork that Oz Studios is pumping out for us and we hope you are enjoying the "Disturbing Alerts" that you've been receiving. It turns out that we're even getting requests from new recipients who are asking for back Alerts that they have missed! For those of you who are collecting these tidbits of design, we'll keep them coming.

Want to get on the list? Go HERE.

REVAMPED DISTURBING MUSIC SITE GOES LIVE

LOS ANGELES CA, March 1, 2005—After almost two months of "reconstruction," the new, improved Disturbing Music website is online. There is now a gallery of photos and many more stories chronicling the saga of all the Disturbing projects—especially of Disturbing's mastermind, Geoff Westen. Go check it out!

NOTE: The photo gallery isn't there anymore - we took it down.

THE PIGS ARE IN THE STUDIO
HARD AT WORK ON THE BIG OINK!

LOS ANGELES, CA, February 1, 2005Disturbing Music's next offering will be SLOP by The Pigs. The band is currently ensconced in the studio slaving away. They will be working on their digital SLOP throughout the spring. The CD is expected to be in-store this fall. We'll keep you posted.

DISTURBING MUSIC WEBSITE
UNDERGOES MAJOR REDESIGN

LOS ANGELES, January 11, 2005—Because of the many requests for more information regarding the history of Disturbing Music and it's artists, the label's website will undergo a complete refurbishing this month. The rebuild will feature a completely revamped biography section on all the Disturbing Music projects. All links to stores and sponsor sites will remain in effect during the redesign.

ADOPT A DISTURBING XMAS TREE
"Poor little tree...won't anyone take you home?"

LOS ANGELES CA, December 6, 2004—In honor of Ron Kelman, one of Disturbing Music's original advocates, Disturbing Music is sponsoring the "Adopt A Disturbing Xmas Tree" program.

Kelman would scour the city annually in search of the most reprehensible tree he could find, and suffered tremendous humiliation from everyone he knew for this practice. However, it turns out he was ecologically minded decades before anyone else had the same idea. "Kelman was the only person I ever knew who would adopt these poor little trees at Xmas time," Westen remembers.

Therefore, if you run across a poor misshapen, homeless Xmas Tree, we hope you will do as others have done, and either give it a home, buy it and send it to us, or at least take a pix and email a jpeg of it to homelesstrees@disturbingmusic.com.

We will add your pix to the "Adopt A Disturbing Xmas Tree" page on our site (click on xmas tree icon on DM splash page) and maybe we can find it a permanent home. And, if you see an adoptable tree on the site that you take a fancy to, please contact homelesstrees@disturbingmusic.com and we will make every effort to hook you up with it.

THE PIGS DONATE SPECIAL DOWNLOAD
TO "PEACE FOR XMAS" EFFORT
"We've Got Santa Claus" available at PeaceForXmas.com

LOS ANGELES, CA, December 6, 2004—In an altruistic move which belies their name, Disturbing Music act, THE PIGS, have created a concept to align with their label's Peace For Xmas initiative and have donated a Xmas single, "We've Got Santa Claus," to the effort.

When asked what they could contribute, those Piggies put their heads together and came back with, "There is fantasy and there is reality. Sometimes the line between the two is almost indistinguishable. Like most fairytales, we should use fantasy to put reality into simpler terms—'Wake Up World! No Peace? No Santa!' is easier for some folks to understand." So the site now features a tale about Santa Claus resigning from his job, and in collaboration with THE PIGS, is dedicating his life to putting together the "perfect plan" for world peace.

Next, THE PIGS scrounged around their music "pen" and came up with a piece that seemed perfectly appropriate. "We've Got Santa Claus" is a dark message to all of us that until there is Peace on Earth, Xmas just won't be the same without Santa. The single is now available at PeaceForXmas.com, with all net proceeds from the .99-cent download being donated to UnitedForPeace.org to aid in their efforts toward PEACE on EARTH!

So, we can officially announce that Santa has hunkered down with his friends THE PIGS in their "pen" at Disturbing Music headquarters and he needs your help. For starters, go to PeaceForXmas.com and send Santa your suggestions for the quickest way to accomplish World Peace. While there you can also download THE PIGS' "We've Got Santa Claus."

Say THE PIGS, "Help Santa and you'll help the world!"

DISTURBING MUSIC LAUNCHES "PEACE FOR XMAS" INITIATIVE
Site to be hub for collection of Ideas for route to World Peace

LOS ANGELES, CA, November 17, 2004—Disturbing Music will launch PeaceForXmas.com on November 26, 2004. "After years of disseminating "disturbing" in the form of fun concepts and interesting music and art - we are finally now extremely DISTURBED ourselves," says Disturbing President, Geoff Westen.

"The world has moved forward by quantum leaps in almost every way in the last century, but we still don't have a clue on how to live together in harmony. It's time to stop mucking about and take a realistic look at the barriers preventing World Peace and what methods need be taken to get around them.

"PeaceForXmas.com was set up as a hub for accumulating the ideas of concerned people from all corners of our planet. I want them to contribute their thoughts and suggestions on what steps we must take for the quickest way to World Peace. If you feel you're on the outside looking in and don't really have much say in the matter, you're wrong. We are convinced that the best ideas for moving the peace effort forward will come from those on the outside. The best ideas are going to come from ordinary people. Ordinary people with no political motivations - only a desire to live in harmony with their fellow human beings."

Please go to PeaceForXmas.com and submit your ideas. Thanks!

SANTA NOT ACCEPTING WISH LISTS THIS SEASON
Elves in charge as Santa devotes his energies to Peace On Earth

ARCTIC CIRCLE, October 29, 2004—PEACE on EARTH! Well, it seems we mortals just can't figure it out. So, in case you haven't heard the shocking news, Santa has resigned from his regular job of bringing joy to the world. "I'm sorry I will not personally be out on Xmas eve. But in anticipation of an emergency, I've had a failsafe system in place and have officially turned over all operational responsibilities to my head Elves—they know what to do." Mr. Claus explains.

It seems that after thousands of years of doing his thing, Santa can't fathom why people only acknowledge one of his all-time best slogans, "Peace on Earth" around holiday time. Santa is fed up. Lately he's gotten very depressed and disappointed every time he stuck his head up from his North Pole workshop to look around at the state of the world. "The world today is a way smarter place then it used to be—and we still have no clue how to all live together," Santa commented. "What's up with that?!"

Rumor has it that Mr. C has departed the North Pole after being contacted by THE PIGS—or maybe it was the other way around—and they have decided to team up at Disturbing Music headquarters to collaborate on a solution and implementation of this incredible concept, PEACE ON EARTH FOR ALL!

More soon...
